Michaela Justice - Following a long career in the Media, Michaela fulfilled a long held ambition and returned to art college at the age of 50. She graduated in 2005 receiving a Fine Art Degree from Plymouth University. Recent exhibitions include the Menier Gallery on the South Bank, the Atlantis Gallery in Brick Lane, and The Brewhouse in Taunton.

She paints for the sheer joy of it. She was privileged to be taught in her teens by Robin Child, who instilled in her a lifelong passion for painting; he remains an inspiration. Working mostly in oils, her interests include the luminous mystery of medieval mythology and religious images. She is particularly influenced by the jewel-like colours and fantastic landscapes of Mughal miniatures.

Refining shapes and colour to their essence is complex and exciting. It remains a lifelong journey for many artists (herself included) to discover where one will land in the spectrum between representation and pure abstraction.
