I completed my degree in Fashion and Textiles at St. Martins School of Art. After many years as a textile designer I started life drawing and converted to Fine Art as a career.
I have been running one off workshops for Art Societies and Art groups as well as continuing to teach a weekly Life drawing class in Newbury for 25 years. I also organise monthly workshops for a group of local Artists where I draw rather than teach.
About the course
I will be illustrating the course with various artists who draw the life figure using different methods. We will draw short gestural poses initially, working through to more sustained longer poses.
I will encourage the artists to work with different methods/media and also mixed media. I will also work individually with artists during the course encouraging them to develop their own style of working.
I would hope to give everyone the confidence to experiment and enjoy life drawing as I do.
